James Miller

 

Our Head Chef, James Miller has been with us for just over a year now serving delicious award winning dishes. His speciality is fish and seafood which has proved to be very popular  in the restaurant. 

 

James came to the Raglan Arms with a very impressive track record as an award winning chef. His career highlights include:

 

  • Chef de Partie at The Bear, Woodstock under the tutelage of Mark Houghton (former senior sous chef for Raymond Blanc).
  • Senior Sous Chef at Sopwell House, St Albans
  • Owner and Head Chef at the Heritage Hotel in Porthcawl where he earned 2 Rosettes
  • Head Chef at the Loughpool Inn where he was awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand 2007
  • Head Chef at Washbourne Court, Lower Slaughter where maintained 2 Rosettes during his tenure.
  • Establishing the kitchen at the revamped Green Man in Fownhope, winning 5 star reviews on TripAdvisor and a great reputation for fish and game.
  • Winner of ‘Lets get Cooking’ in Herefordshire and presented with his award by TV personality, Lorraine Kelly.
